More Tassie Escapes

On the track - Photo: Miss M
Our sojourn to Tassie has certainly gone quickly. With less than two weeks remaining it seems that I have not had enough time to update our blog as planned. The day after our "historical" adventure we had a lovely weekend visit from our neice. The weather on the Saturday was not particularly nice to us but we elected to take a drive to Cockle Creek. After a short walk to the whale sculpture and a brief lunch break, the OGO and Miss M enjoyed an arduous walk from Cockle Creek to South Cape Bay. Mrs OGO remained in the car with her beloved stitching. Main reason for the latter activity was the walk was 14kms return and Mrs OGO's mobility does not allow for those distances to be tackled now.  However, Mrs OGO had also taken the opportunity in 2008 to walk that track and have much happier memories as it was sunny and warm on that occasion.

Miss M captured some beautiful visuals of the area and I am sure she won't mind me sharing a couple with you.

Sunday dawned with bright sunshine and we headed out to the Judbury markets. A lovely drive which we topped off with a visit to a local cidery (Pagan Cider) for tastings of the local brew followed by a lovely lunch at the Red Velvet Lounge in the village of Cygnet.

It was a joy to share those two days with Miss M.

There will be more about our Tasmania adventure in future posts.
